Migraine Treatment
A migraine is much more than just a bad headache. It’s a complex neurological disorder that causes intense, throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head. These attacks can last for hours or even days and are often accompanied by severe sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and vomiting. Some people also experience “aura,” which involves visual disturbances like flashing lights or blind spots, typically before the headache begins. Migraines can be debilitating, significantly impacting a person’s daily life, work, and relationships.
Don’t let migraines control your life. Dr. Jitendra Kumar Nagar is an expert in diagnosing and treating complex headache disorders, using his practical experience to find lasting solutions for his patients.
Symptoms of Migraine
Migraine symptoms are different for everyone and can occur in stages. Key signs include:
- Intense Pain: A severe, throbbing, or pulsing headache, often localized to one side of the head.
- Aura (Visual/Sensory): Seeing flashing lights, zig-zag lines, or blind spots (visual aura), or experiencing tingling or numbness in the face or hands (sensory aura).
- Sensory Sensitivity: Extreme sensitivity to light (photophobia), sound (phonophobia), and sometimes smells or touch.
- Gastrointestinal Distress: Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal upset are very common during an attack.
- Other Symptoms: Feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or experiencing neck stiffness and fatigue (known as the “prodrome” or “postdrome” phases before and after the pain).
We are dedicated to moving beyond temporary fixes to provide long-term migraine relief.
